Tajikistan. Integrating HIV services in primary health care

CAPACITY provided technical assistance to establish a thematic working group (TWG) on reducing stigma and discrimination among primary health care (PHC) staff against PLHIV. Participants of the TWG include representatives from the Department of Family Medicine, Tajik State Medical University, the Tajik Institute of Post-Diploma Medical Education, Republican Clinical Training Center for Family Medicine, Department of Infectious Diseases, and Republican AIDS Center. The TWG has developed a draft training module for PHC staff. The draft has been sent to local and international partners for their comments and recommendations. It will be discussed at a round-table next month.
