Kazakhstan. Integration of HIV/AIDS services

CAPACITY is providing technical assistance to Karaganda oblast Health Department and Oblast AIDS Center to prepare for the pilot project in Temirtau on integration of ARVT into primary health care. On August 27–28, CAPACITY supported working meetings jointly with Temirtau AIDS-service organizations and PHC facilities. During the meetings, participants — members of the local working group — discussed aspects of development of the basic approaches to the complex management of patients on ARV treatment and agreed on the development of a joint plan of action on integration including a training program on ARVT for PHC specialists and the development of an oblast prikaz on integration
