Tajikistan. Improving resource-use through integration of HIV services.

CAPACITY initiated establishment of the technical working group on development of the training module on HIV/AIDS for general practitioners in primary healthcare establishments.

On July 24, 2008 the first meeting of TWG was held where key specialists from MOH, Republican AIDS Center, Tajikistan State Medical University, Tajikistan institute of postgraduate medical education, Republican clinical inflectional hospital and others. Participants discussed goals and objectives of the TWG and developed a work plan. It is expected that by end of August the training module will be finalized. After its approval a series of TOT for pilot PHC establishments will be conducted and further introduction of the module into curriculum of Tajikistan Medical educational institutions.
