Tajikistan. The National Forum of HIV-service organizations

The National Forum of HIV-service organizations took place on 3–4 June in Dushanbe and focused on "civil society in response to HIV in Tajikistan: successes, problems, outlooks”. The Forum was conducted with financial and technical support from CAPACITY jointly with UNDP, CAAP and the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation.

The goal of the Forum was to strengthen the role and effectiveness of civil society activities in response to HIV epidemics in Tajikistan. The opening of the Forum was marked by the greeting from Tracey Ann Jacobson, US Ambassador in Tajikistan. More than 60 HIV-service organizations attended the Forum and adopted a resolution which contains recommendations on increasing interaction between public, international and government organizations.
