Uzbekistan. Training for teachers of regional medical institutes on “HIV/TB training course” incorporation into curriculums

According to MoH order of conducting series of trainings on "HIV/TB” course incorporation into curriculums of all medical institutes of Uzbekistan CAPACITY/USAID in collaboration with project GFATM on TB conducted closing training in Urgench city for teachers of Urgench branch of TMA and Nukus branch of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute (TashPMI). Earlier the trainings were conducted in Samarkand (for Samarkand and Bukhara Medical Institutes) and in Andijan (for Andijan Medical Institute and Ferghana branch of TMA).

During the trainings the participants studied particularities of diagnostics, clinical course and treatment of HIV/TB infection in HIV-patients, and as well as ART and VCT conducting approaches.

Starting from September 2008 the course will be incorporated into curriculums of all medical institutes of Uzbekistan.
