Announcement of the CAPACITY's new Regional Director/Chief of Party and Deputy Regional Director/Deputy Chief of Party

Dear CAPACITY Partners,

I have the great pleasure to announce CAPACITY’s new Regional Director/Chief of Party and Deputy Regional Director/Deputy Chief of Party.

Following an international search, CAPACITY’s own Dr. David Hausner has been chosen as the project’s Regional Director/Chief of Party. Dr. Hausner has been the project’s Deputy Chief of Party/Deputy Regional Director since January 2005 and has helped lead the project through its start-up phase and into full implementation. With his intimate knowledge of CAPACITY, he is well positioned to lead the project forward at this critical juncture and brings an experienced understanding of the implementation environment and a deep commitment to the challenge of HIV and AIDS in Central Asia.

Supporting Dr. Hausner as CAPACITY’s new Deputy Regional Director/Deputy Chief of Party is Dr. Anna Deryabina. Dr. Deryabina has served as CAPACITY’s Deputy Director for Program Management and Monitoring & Evaluation since December 2005, and she initially joined the project in July 2005 as the Regional M&E Coordinator. She has been a key member of the senior management team and has a comprehensive understanding of the project’s technical activities, which will provide a valuable foundation as CAPACITY strengthens operations in each country.
