The sub-project aims at developing effective mechanisms to ensure high coverage of populations vulnerable to HIV, with an essential package of HIV/STI preventive services at the seven model sites; demonstrating the efficiency of the essential preventive package in the behavioral change and reduction of HIV and STI transmission and to ensure access to the essential package of preventive services on a long-term basis. The Sub-project will be implemented in 7 high HIV prevalence sites as Almaty and Aksu in Kazakhstan, Osh and Karasuu in Kyrgyzstan, Khujant and Kurgan Tube in Tajikistan and Samarqand in Uzbekistan with participation of local stakeholders, including the governmental and non-governmental sectors, and international organizations.
