Tajikistan. CAPACITY close-out conference in Dushanbe.

On July 8, 2009, CAPACITY had a close-out conference in Tajikistan. The conference was facilitated by Dr. Mirzoev, Deputy Minister of Health. Many national and international partners were present, including National and City AIDS Centers, National and City TB Centers, Association of Family Physicians, many NGOs and all international partners, including USAID and the US Embassy. US Ambassador Jacobson gave a welcome speech and said that she appreciates all the results accomplished by the Project and hopes for JSI to continue working in the region. The conference went very well and CAPACITY’s work was presented not only by project staff, but also by national counterparts, which illustrated the cooperative approach taken by the Project from its early days. The most important outcome of the conference was the commitment from national and international partners to increase the scale and scope of all our major activities and models after the project ends.
